Car was inspected at mechanic during a routine oil change. Mechanic stated that the frame was rusted, which could affect the ability to safely operate the vehicle. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE THIS VEHICLE BUT HYUNDAI DOES NOT HAVE IT FOR MY VIN.I BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR A WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND THE REPAIR SHOP TOLD ME THAT THE SUB FRAME IS ROTTED AWAY THIS IS THE RECALL THAT THEY HAD FOR VEHICLES THE SAME YEARS AS MINE. I'VE BEEN INFORMED THIS IS A VERY VERY DANGEROUS UNFORTUNATELY WE CANNOT AFFORD BUY NEW CAR.

THERE IS VISIBLE RUST/CORROSION DAMAGE OF THE FRONT SUB- FRAME OF MY VEHICLE. THE FRONT SUBFRAME HAS THINNED AT RUSTED LOCATION. THE RUSTED SUB-FRAME IS CHEWED HALF OF MY SUB-FRAME. I AM WORRIED THAT CORROSION MAY PROGRESS AND MAY DETACH FROM THE SUB-FRAME, EVENTUALLY INCREASING SAFETY RISK. I HAVE NOTICED STEERING PULL.

I WAS DRIVING THE CAR DOWNHILL, APPROACHING A STOP SIGN. MY SUBFRAME ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR SNAPPED. THE FRONT PASSENGER SUBFRAME WAS RUSTED, AND BROKE. CAR WAS PARKED NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES WENT TO CRANK IT UO IT JUST BURDT INTO FLAMES AND BURNED TO THE GROUND ENGINE WAS SNOKING AND SNOKE COMING FROM UNDERNEATH AND WSS OIURING OUT FLAMES BURNED UP IN LIKE 20 MINUTES OR SO FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO COME PUT IT OUT CAR IS NOTHING BUT SCRAP METAL NOW.
