1 safety recall, most serious first
1. Engine
What's wrong, in plain English: Engine problems range from stalling to fire. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2024 XL750, 2025 CMX1100, and CRF1100 motorcycles. The crankcase sealing bolt may have been improperly manufactured, which can cause the engine to leak oil onto the rear tire.
What could happen: Oil on the rear tire may cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
The fix: Dealers will replace the crankcase sealing bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 15, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KS2.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2024 XL750.
- Book a repair at any authorized Honda dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 25V358000 (manufacturer code KS2).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-866-784-1870.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
