2 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Electrical system
What's wrong, in plain English: Wiring, modules, batteries. Short circuits can cause stalls or fires. Water may leak into the transmission control harness, which can cause a short circuit and unexpectedly shift the transmission from Park to Neutral.
What could happen: An unexpected shift from Park to Neutral can cause a vehicle roll away and increase the risk of a crash or injury.
The fix: Owners are advised to turn off the ignition and use the emergency parking brake after parking their vehicles. Dealers will inspect the transmission control harness and repair the connector, or replace the harness and internal wiring, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 9, 2024.…

During several attempts to merge onto 80, my Genesis GV70 stopped accelerating at 42 MPH, roughly 5000 RPMs and I was almost rear ended on two occasions because of the 'stalling' of the vehicle. An 18 wheel truck almost hit me because I couldn't accelerate past 42 MPH. Luckily, I was able…
