2023 Nissan Frontier King Cab recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-19. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
1 safety recall, most serious first
1. Wheels / tires
What's wrong, in plain English: A wheel or tire can fail while driving. The tires may have a tear in the inner bead which can cause a rapid loss of tire pressure.
What could happen: A rapid loss of tire pressure while driving can lead to a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will replace all four road tires, or inspect and replace the spare tire assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 10, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PC973 and PC974.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2023 FRONTIER KING CAB.
- Book a repair at any authorized Nissan dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 23V273000 (manufacturer code PC973 and PC974).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-867-7669.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
