2 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Transmission / drivetrain
What's wrong, in plain English: The parts that send engine power to the wheels. Failure can mean a sudden loss of power or the car rolling away. The camber strut bracket may have been improperly welded onto the rear axle carrier, possibly resulting in separation of the bracket from the rear axle carrier.
What could happen: Rear axle carrier failure can cause a sudden loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been performed. Dealers will replace the rear axle carrier, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 22, 2025. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024120015.

Drove the car through a 6" puddle and the engine was hydro locked, alternator and starter died leaving me stranded in the middle of the road. This car is in Florida and I would expect it to be able to go through a puddle. When getting the engine replaced I was told that my E350 was not the only one with this issue.
