2010 Honda Vt1300cx recalls & complaints
Source: NHTSA, updated daily. Last checked 2026-10-19. Recalls apply to specific VINs — run your VIN to confirm.
1 safety recall, most serious first
1. Fuel system
What's wrong, in plain English: Fuel lines, tank or pump. Fuel problems usually mean a leak, and leaks mean fire risk. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2017 Honda VT1300CX Fury motorcycles and 2010 and 2016 Honda VT1300CX Fury motorcycles that received a replacement fuel tank. The fuel tank may be missing welds around the mounting bracket.
What could happen: If the welds are missing, the mounting bracket can separate from the tank, allowing fuel to leak and increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.
The fix: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel tank welds and, as necessary, replace the fuel tank, free of charge. The recall began December 14, 2017. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2010 VT1300CX.
- Book a repair at any authorized Honda dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 17V805000.
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-888-234-2138.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.
