1. Seat belts

What's wrong, in plain English: Seat belts may not hold you in a crash. The bolt that secures the rear center seat belt assembly to the seat structure may not have been properly tightened.

What could happen: An improperly secured seat belt assembly may not restrain an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

The fix: GM will tighten the bolt that attaches the center seat belt assembly to the rear seat structure, free of charge. All affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory and, therefore, no owner letters will be mailed. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-888-988-7267, or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-10…

What to do

  1. Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 SIERRA EV.
  2. Book a repair at any authorized GMC dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 25V015000 (manufacturer code N242489901).
  3. The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
  4. Manufacturer hotline: 1-888-988-7267.
  5. Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

The HVAC airflow-direction system failed and no longer correctly controls where the air is directed. Even when the windshield defrost setting is not selected, the system continuously sends airflow toward the windshield. This unwanted airflow causes condensation and fogging on the windshield that cannot be turned off or redirected, impairing the driver's vis…

The passenger side outside rear view mirror does not provide for a clear view on the passenger side of the vehicle. The adjustments on the mirror cannot be set to reduce or eliminate a blind spot on the vehicle. The mirror is not like a normal mirror from other vehicles. My 2025 GMC Denali EV has experienced repeated safety-critical issues, including severe torque pull under acceleration, making it difficult to maintain safe lane position and compromising steering control. This behavior persists even after inspection and is documented on video. The vehicle has also had repeated service brake assist faults, including one cr…

05/14/2025 · Visibility (wipers / glass)
The passenger rear view mirror is completely flat, not concave like every other mirror we’re used to on a passenger vehicle. This mirror glass is only used on the passenger mirror of the EV trucks for some unknown reason. It is completely unsafe in such a large truck without huge blind spots. Because it appears to be zoomed you can completely miss cars othe…

Failure in the lithium-Ion battery system. Battery conditioning system failed to manage heating and cooling of the battery system leading to catastrophic system failure. Dealership and manufacturer are unable to make repair leaving the vehicle un-operable.

01/17/2025 · Fuel system
Battery heating module failed. This resulted in small, hard to distinguish, "service vehicle" icon to appear on the dash with no further information. This warning icon first appeared during a long drive, then went away on its own and eventually came back. This failure would eventually make charging, particularly in cold weather, impossible and potentiall…
