4 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Electrical system
What's wrong, in plain English: Wiring, modules, batteries. Short circuits can cause stalls or fires. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Controls and Displays."
What could happen: An instrument panel display that fails to show critical safety information, such as the speedometer or warning lights, increases the risk of a crash.
The fix: The instrument panel display software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 22, 2025. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 027G.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2025 G90.
- Book a repair at any authorized Genesis dealer. Quote NHTSA campaign 25V474000 (manufacturer code 027G).
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

Since purchased as a new vehicle from dealer, the TPMS ( Tire Pressure Monitoring System ) menu has been absent from my dash as an option to choose so that I can monitor the tire pressures. The menu widget that contains the TPMS also contains other options that are suppose to be available, but also do not show and are unavailable to the driver.
