5 safety recalls, most serious first
1. Brakes — software update
What's wrong, in plain English: Anything that slows the car down. Treat brake recalls as urgent. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) may activate unexpectedly and release brake pressure in the vehicle's service brake system.
What could happen: A release of brake pressure can cause a loss of braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: The electronic brake control module software will be updated through an over-the-air (OTA) update or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2024. Owners may contact Acura customer service at 1-800-382-2238. Acura's number for this recall is UJE.
What to do
- Check whether your car is affected: enter your 17-digit VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls. A recall covers specific VINs, not every 2024 ZDX.
- This recall may be fixed by an over-the-air software update. Check the car's screen or app before booking a dealer visit.
- The repair is free. By US law, safety recall repairs cost the owner nothing, no matter the car's age or mileage.
- Manufacturer hotline: 1-800-382-2238.
- Buying this car used? Ask the seller for proof the recall was completed, or run the VIN yourself before paying.

2. Electrical system
What's wrong, in plain English: Wiring, modules, batteries. Short circuits can cause stalls or fires. The front passenger stabilizer bar bracket bolts may become loose and detach from the frame, which can damage the high voltage cables or EV battery coolant lines.
What could happen: Damaged high voltage cables or EV battery coolant lines can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix: Dealers will inspect and tighten the bolts, and repair the stabilizer bar and bracket, high voltage cables, and EV battery coolant lines as necessary, free of charge.
